There is currently no evidence and authorities are still fairly confident that no personal information of employees or students has been compromised. In an interview with news director Greg Sapp, Johnson was asked if the system crashed because of something malicious.

“We don’t know,” Johnson said. Still, he said the system has been put back together. He reiterated his belief that no one’s information was compromised. Please be assured that district authorities continue to do everything possible to return the district to normal operations as soon as possible and that the district will continue to provide updates to the public as new information becomes available.

Work continues to recover all necessary network systems. Computer workstations for building managers and office staff can now access essential services. The telephone systems are fully operational. Our security camera system is operational. Our technology team is working with our teaching team to implement two-factor authentication for Google services so that teachers can use personal devices to access Google data.
