Fall Break: There will be no classes for students on Friday, October 29, in observance of Staff Development Day. Students will also not be in class on Monday, November 1, Tuesday, November 2 or Thursday, November 4.
Serotkin proposed an amendment to make Nov. 10, Veterans Day, a student holiday, starting a day earlier on Wednesday for both students and faculty. He said the feedback he has received from veterans is that they should bring their children home during the federal holidays.
Hooray! Finally, LCPS adopted next year’s school calendar. I am happy that I have 180 days of teaching for students. But I regret that the board did not adopt Ian Serotkin’s amendment and have a holiday for Veterans Day.
