Each chapter features great treats from the show, like Phoebe’s Grandma’s Cookies, Rachel’s Fun Facts, and Ross’ Moist Maker. We’d love to post about each of these wines, but to get this information quickly, we usually open four bottles to taste and rate.
Our 11 year old made a random wine selection and we ended up with two whites and two reds. There are also some rosé wines in the box, but this time without sparkling wines, as is usually the case on the 24th of December.

It’s here, and it’s in stores now… the 2021 Costco Wine Advent Calendar. If you see it, get it fast. They run out fast, so grab one (or two) and leave it for a few months if you want to stick to the schedule.
If you call the store and ask if they sell this, quote the Costco item number: 1357643. Don’t use 1480467, which is the old second wine calendar number. I checked with Costco and it’s not in the system.
Finally found this at our local Costco! Today we’re taking a look at the one and only Costco Wine Advent Calendar for 2021. Updated with our take on the wines. We’ve tasted them all, but does it live up to the hype?
As this is the first year we’ve been able to find it, we’re not sure if it’s normal or an anomaly, but we’ll provide you with next year’s version. This may be the first time we remember tasting Saperavi from Georgia.

In the glass pours a medium earthy and dusty violet; mainly dark fruits, the wine is young with a slightly rustic tone. It’s very interesting to watch. We will say that this year’s edition has decent examples of out-of-the-ordinary varietals and regions, so we’ll call that a win, especially when we’re talking about the equivalent of an $8 bottle of wine.
Hope they can continue to improve next year! I’m amazed at the prices! I received the box in the last week of November. It was only $49.97! I got it after talking to another woman who got it.

How ironic that it appears on the Advent calendar. The next thing you’ll notice is that the price stays the same at $99.99. From the first box until last year, the price was $99.99. There have been several Costco Wine Advent Calendars over the past few years, both priced at $99.99.
The 4-star Kyriad Muraya Hotel Aceh is located in Banda Aceh, in the heart of the city, on the main road. It is located 20 minutes from Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport and 15 minutes from Uli Lheue Beach.
The hotel is comfortable and has a restaurant, bar and meeting rooms. We in the Reverse Wine Snob family love Advent calendars. In fact, we’ve distributed Advent calendars to everyone we know to try and bring some cheer to the long days of the pandemic.
This is the same time of year that the Advent calendar has fallen in recent years, the first week of September. Maintaining that for three months and enjoying daytime wines in December always seems difficult (obviously we never come close).

These 12 oz bottles are also so convenient, it’s hard not to take them early. Did I mention that I love having them on hand, in case you want to pour two glasses or have a little white and a little red without opening two bottles full of each.
So I couldn’t wait; plus I always review a few bottles in my Advent Calendar review. My wife picked two bottles at random and they were number 19 and 23. In the picture above you will have a circle with a hole around the month date so you can open it and pick up the bottle without looking at the rest.
