Perhaps the only reason for an overnight stay in Banda Aceh is to catch a ferry to Pulau Weh if the departure time does not match the ferry schedule. If that’s your problem, you can spend several hours visiting the Tsunami Museum and the huge ship that was moved 5 km by the tsunami.

It’s a very nice place… I have 1 night to stay in the pulau weh go swimming… will definitely come back later. I hired Banda aceh for our driving trips and I am lucky enough to have them..our two drivers Shah (Banda aceh) & Bob (pulau Weh) are very friendly, respectful and informative.
