Admission And Registration
) Contact the Records Office at 974-5730 or Admissions at (708) 974-5355. Informal Evaluation – Prior to registration, prior college transcripts may be reviewed by an academic advisor to assist in the development of an academic plan to meet the student’s academic goals.
To support an advising session prior to registration, an unofficial transcript may be brought to the Academic Advising Center, S201. High School Students – Students under the age of 16 not enrolled in college classes. Exceptions to this rule may be made with approved programs of study for special dual credit programs.
Dual Credit Enrollment Students must complete an online enrollment form with the approval of a high school faculty member and/or advisor. Students over the age of 16 who wish to take college courses must complete a high school authorization form, which can be obtained and signed by the appropriate high school official.
Moraine Valley is committed to an “open door” admissions policy. The college will admit all high school graduates or equivalent who demonstrate the ability to benefit from a program at Moraine Valley, subject only to space limitations.

Web Moraine Valley Release 2022 academic achievement list falls Web Labor Day holiday (no class) September List expiration – for students six years from the first semester of enrollment to complete their program of study. If not completed within this time frame, the student must complete their studies under a new non-completed list.
Students who break enrollment for six or more semesters (including summer semesters) must follow the readmission policy. Once admitted, students can choose courses or programs according to their interests and abilities as determined by an individual student’s high school experience, prior test scores, and college assessment results.
Moraine Valley offers counseling and advising services to help each student choose an appropriate field of study according to individual abilities and interests. With some programs, particularly health sciences programs, places may not be available to all applicants. Enrolling students must meet minimum high school course requirements, in accordance with Illinois Public Act 86-0954. Students who do not meet these requirements will be required to take additional developmental courses. These requirements will be waived (a) for students who succes

or advanced college credit; (b) students who successfully complete high school equivalency examinations; (c) Students may submit ACT/SAT scores demonstrating proficiency in English, math, and reading or math or courses offered at the college. Enrollment – Any student who has not been enrolled at Moraine Valley for six consecutive semesters (including summer semesters) must be enrolled in college.
Students must visit the registration office with their current address, program of study and catalog year in the current semester. If the student has attended one or more colleges during this transitional period, official transcripts for all academic work since last attending Moraine Valley must be submitted.
