Must Students From The Member Schools Continue In The Same Language From Their Elementary School?
Students who come to DCI without a background in language studies must follow a language pathway to be pursued throughout their time at DCI. The Yu Yin campus provides space for comprehensive education that focuses on the development of all students.

What Is The Start Time?

Lunch is a 40 minute break where there are clubs, sports and social areas for students. On Fridays, students can buy dinner at the end of the school day or have lunch at home. Students wishing to eat a free school breakfast are allowed to enter the building from 8am.
All other students are allowed into the building by 8:15am. Students are expected to be ready for class which starts at 08.20. Class ends at 3:25 PM for Middle School and 3:35 PM for SMA. After school activities will be available until 17:30.
DCI is an official International Baccalaureate World School and offers the IB Intermediate Program for grades 6-10. DCI offers an IB Diploma program and careers program for grades 11-12. Students will leave DCI with one or more of the following: DCI allows students to continue their immersion experience by taking up to 50 percent of class in their target language (Chinese, French, or Spanish).

What Is The Mundo Verde Charter School?
retaliation or retaliation for past civil rights activities. Yu Ying’s REEF program is Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-5:45pm. and Friday from 1:00pm-5:45pm. REEF registration begins approximately two weeks before the start of a new session. Yu Yi offers three sessions per year in autumn, winter and spring.
The REEF payment schedule is flexible and based on the level of student participation. For example, the introductory rate is $22 per day per child (M-Th) and the full monthly program rate is $450 per child per month.
Yu Ying offers discounts for eligible families, as well as discounts for siblings. Yu Yi also offers pre-school care Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 8:10am. Washington Yu Ying partnered with 4 other immersion charter schools in Washington to establish the District of Columbia International School.
This combined middle/secondary school allows Yu Yin students to pursue a rigorous academic program based on their Chinese language and cultural immersion experience. Mundo Verde Bilingual Public Charter School is Washington’s first “green” public charter school.

Where Is The Mundo Verde Campus?
34% bilingual works by Mundo Verde – J.f. Cook’s students are Hispanic, 29% of students are white, 25% of students are black, 10% of students are racial, and 2% of students are Asian. Mundo Verde staff are leaders in making significant and lasting changes both in the classroom and throughout the school.

Parents are encouraged to pack healthy meals for their students. Students also have the option of having a healthy breakfast or lunch at school. Yoo Ying banned junk food and sweets in his place. Yu In is also a peanut free school, as many of our students have severe allergies to peanuts and peanut products.
