Skip to contentNc State Academic Calendar 2023 – “Last Week of the Semester”: Laboratory tests, semester project reports and presentations are allowed during the last week of classes. Papers and homework cannot be due in the last week of classes unless it is scheduled in the syllabus.
However, in order for students to prepare for final exams, faculty members may not assign tests, quizzes or other additional papers during the final week of classes. Assignments should not have a due date during the final exam period unless the assignment is part of the final exam.

Exceptions to this policy must be approved in advance by the head of department and the dean of the college concerned. Students should contact the appropriate instructor or department head if they believe an assignment does not meet this regulation.

Students enrolled in mini-courses with start and end dates that differ from the regular 5-week and 10-week summer sessions should refer to their class syllabus and/or contact their instructor for the last day to drop a non-degree course
to check. Drop/Revision Deadline: A Schedule Amendment Request must be submitted via the Registration Wizard in the MyPack Portal for all schedule drops or amendments made after this date. Last day to transfer to credit at ALL one level.

Last day to add a course without instructor permission. The MyPack Portal will close for top-ups at 11:59 p.m. After this day, contact the instructor to add a class. Once an instructor has approved your registration, they will work directly with the department to enroll you in the course.

Coaches with questions regarding the registration process should speak to their department. Last day to submit a withdrawal request for the season. Any applications after this date are considered retrospective and require the same conditions as a withdrawal period, but must also be initiated by the Counseling Centre.
Last Day To Add Without Permission
Census Date/Official Enrollment Date: Last day to add a course with instructor approval. Last day for tuition refunds due to dropping a course or changing from credit to audit. Last day for undergraduate students to fall below 12 hours.
