Pgcps 2022 Calendar – RELIGIOUS HOLIDAYS – Major religious holidays are mentioned for planning purposes only. Jewish and Muslim holidays begin the day before sunset. To avoid excluding students, families and staff from important meetings or activities, PGCPS prevents these events from being held on major holidays marked with an asterisk (*) on this calendar.

This restriction does not apply to national or regional events. Over the course of several meetings, the committee develops a draft schedule to share with the executive team. Once approved, a draft schedule is shared with families and staff for survey feedback.

Grading and reporting systems were established to provide guidance to administrators and teachers in implementing grading and reporting systems to be used in all Prince George’s County Public Schools. IMPORTANT CALENDAR NOTES – There are 180 student days and 192 teacher days (195 new teachers).

1 SEVERE WEATHER DAYS – The school calendar includes three inclement weather days. If two days are used, the last day for students will be June 15 and the last day for teachers will be June 20;

if a day is used, the last day for students will be June 14 and the last day for teachers will be June 16; if neither date is used, the last day for students will be June 13 and the last day for teachers will be June 15. The first day of school for all PGCPS students in the 2022-2023 PGCPS calendar is August 29, 2022
