Shades Of Green Standard Guest Rooms
Guest amenities in the large Shades of Green standard rooms include two queen-size beds and one sofa bed. Each standard guest room has a private balcony or patio, with two chairs and a table. A security gate guards the entrance to the Shades of Green area.
If you arrive by car, you must present a photo ID at the gate; it is not necessary to prepare your order number or papers. A designated parking lot across from the lobby is temporary parking for those who need it during check-in.
Hotel guest parking (garage available) at Shades of Green is $7 per night. Since we do not know that the military ticket will start and will be extended until September next year, I would like to know if we can still buy for 2021 since we have used our allocation this year
. However, reading this page, if my husband (who is retired) is also a DOD employee can we get an extra 6 for this year so we don’t have to worry about the trip in January.?

any ideas? Shades of Green is a spacious hotel. It was closed for renovations and expansion from 2002-2004 and has 586 of the largest standard resort rooms on Walt Disney World properties, as well as eleven family rooms that sleep six to twelve.
The resort has gone through several guest room renovations since 2004. People often ask me if staying at Shades of Green is the same as staying at the resort and nothing could be better far from the truth!
Shades of Green is a first class well maintained resort. There are 586 standard resort rooms, the largest on a Walt Disney World property, as well as eleven family rooms. October 2020 Update: Shades of Green has posted its fiscal year 2022 levels and for the second year in a row it is a significant increase (by Shades of Green’s historical standards).
All room types are raised at least $15. This and last year were the biggest updates ever for Shades of Green. Shades of Green is open to active and retired service members (including reserve forces) and their families, among other eligible groups.
Price Increase
Civilians may accompany the appropriate military personnel as guests. (For details, see shadesofgreen.org/about-shades-green/qualifications). Shades of Green guests are eligible for Early Disney Theme Park and Extended Afternoon admission. Shades of Green rates are set throughout the year, with the exception of various special offers that are run from time to time.
But Disney resorts have many price seasons throughout the year and prices vary by day of the week (Friday and Saturday nights are more expensive). The price of a special Disney resort room can vary from 1.4 to more than 2 times the cheapest price for that room depending on the time of year.

At Shades of Green, you’ll find all the amenities you’d expect in any great resort destination: dining options, entertainment options, self and valet parking, bellhop service, spa, fitness room, two pools swimming, Wi-Fi, and self-service laundry facilities, as well as a military discount ticket office and mini-exchange.

Shades Of Green Resort
Check out Steve’s Bio. Poolside rooms are the same size and amenities as regular rooms. The only difference is that their rear sliding doors open to a view of one of the two pools. You can walk directly from the terrace of your room to the swimming pool.
There is also a smaller pool on the east side of the resort. This pool is a basic concrete pool with little theme, but there are plenty of lounge chairs and tables around the pool. Shades of Green guests can take advantage of the Early Theme Park Admission Program & Extended Afternoon Theme Park Hours!

Shades Of Green Pool View Guest Rooms
Shades of Green’s nearly 600 rooms and suites are spacious and carefully furnished with family comfort in mind. A sofa bed and small fridge are standard. A beautiful view of the garden and greenery is available around it.
Even the bathroom has a built-in night light and separate bathtub and vanity to help you get ready faster. All rooms have separate bedrooms and microwaves but are also limited in space. Book early to get a suite.
If you qualify to stay with us, you’ve got your chance at these amazing accommodations. If you have any requirements that require special accommodation, please contact us prior to your arrival. At 455 square feet each, Shades of Green’s 586 guest rooms are larger than those at the Grand Floridian.
The decor is pleasant if completely unremarkable – the same as any mid-priced hotel. Most rooms have two queen-size beds, a sofa bed and a table and four chairs, as well as a television in the closet.
Walt Disney World Shades Of Greens Rooms
Each room has a patio or balcony. In your experience do more dates open up as you get closer? I checked the registration for September and that month is almost not available but the whole month of August is free.
I have stayed before and had no problem finding an opportunity in 2019. Kafe Ekspres – Kafe Ekspres offers breakfast sandwiches, pastries, snacks, fresh coffee, tea and more. After breakfast they offer a good selection of sandwiches.

Kafe Ekspres is next to the bus loading area. You may need to bring your own towels from your room to use at the pool – Shades of Green sometimes keeps extra towels by the pool, and sometimes they don’t.
Our advice is to send someone down to the pool to check the condition of the towels before you leave. If you use your room towel at the pool, just call Housekeeping when you come back and ask for more.

Your order will be fulfilled on the delivery date specified in the Order Confirmation or, if no delivery date is specified, then within 30 days after the day of Confirmation of the Ordinance, unless there are special circumstances and except in the case of pre-orders.
The Shades of Green dining room isn’t huge, but it’s not as small as you’ll find in average resort or Disney suites. Luckily you won’t feel cramped in your room’s bathroom. The water pressure in the shower is average – maybe less than what you get at home, but still enough to clean your hair.

Java Cafe – Java Cafe is located in the lobby. They serve fresh Starbucks coffee and a variety of pastries, different flavors of handmade ice cream cones and Sundaes, and adult beverages (beer, wine and spirits).
Modify Or Cancel Your Reservation
Get your morning joe and pastry here before heading to the park! Open all day. You can cancel up to 30 days before the start of your registration without penalty. If you cancel within 30 days of arrival, you will be charged one night’s stay, per room booked.

There may be some exceptions, please contact Reservations for more information. From Sanford International Airport It takes approximately 40 minutes to drive from Sanford to Shades of Green.

If you don’t have a rental car, be aware that the Sanford airport offers fewer transportation options than Orlando, and Sanford’s options are generally much more expensive. A taxi from Sanford International Airport to Shades of Green will cost between $120 and $150, depending on traffic.
Mears Transportation offers a 3-passenger town car service to Shades of Green for about $140 one way, plus tip; A 5-passenger SUV or 10-passenger van service is about $190 one way. That means round-trip transportation will run you somewhere between $240 and $380, plus tip, between Sanford and Shades of Green.
Shades Of Green Guest Rooms
At that price, it might be cheaper to rent a car and park it at the hotel.
The rates are based on your pay level or status, with junior members paying less to help them buy a Disney vacation. Go to theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs. Shades of Green operates a continuous shuttle service from the resort to the Transportation and Ticketing Center, where guests can transfer to their destination.
The Shades of Green bus stop is located along the front wall of the lobby. From the Transportation and Ticket Center, guests can take the Monorail or ferry to the Magic Kingdom and the Monorail to Epcot.

A mini-fridge is a dorm-style unit that sits under a counter or table. It’s more like a drink cooler than a refrigerator because it keeps drinks cold, but you don’t freeze popsicles or make ice cubes in it.
Your order will be delivered to the delivery address you specified when you placed your order. If we are unable to deliver to your delivery address, for example if your delivery address is very remote, we will let you know before we receive your order.
Products in the same order cannot be shipped to different addresses. Shades of Green’s Guest Rooms are very similar to Disney Deluxe resorts like the Polynesian. The view from most every room is beautiful. The views throughout the hotel are unique and breathtaking.
