The Carroll ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2020-2021 school calendar at its regular board meeting Monday. After a district education committee holds a calendar subcommittee, the DAC considers two calendars in December for the 2020 school year, according to the committee’s meeting schedule.

Janet McDade, assistant superintendent of student services, said the DAC received 748 responses to the two proposed calendars. After receiving and analyzing more than 430 parent, staff and student responses through Let’s Talk, Carroll ISD presented the results of the 2021-2022 school calendar survey to the school board at the Jan. 11 board meeting.
Carroll ISD is a K-12 public school system located in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The 21-square-mile district has 11 schools serving more than 8,400 students and 1,100 employees. As one of the best school districts in Texas, CISD recently received an “A” rating from the Texas Education Agency with 11 schools, and earned the prestigious Lonestar Cup for the 8th time with the most points.
