The calendar sets family gatherings for October 7 and 8, but as Sadler notes, it includes a small optional day for professional development to ensure adequate DPI training time.
The calendar holds 176 student contact days, with three pre-planning days before school starts and spring break in the fourth week of March. Computer science remains one of the fastest growing and most in-demand fields in today’s workforce, but it remains a male-dominated field.
This can be especially true in advanced placement (AP) computer science courses, where the number of female students is often lower than male students. Email communications sent via the county web page or other electronic form may be subject to open registration requests under Wis.

Janet Rosseter, Assistant Superintendent of Operations, explained that the extended time is due to the work needed at CHUMS, which will be restructured into three buildings and eventually include a fourth, the City of Sun Prairie SPASD-City of Sun Prairie Employee Health Clinic.
Rosseter said that all the work that can be done at the school this summer will be completed, but most of the work should be done next summer. Hope Schools expanded in the 2005-2006 school year to serve elementary schools in the Sun Prairie District School District.
In the past, we have sponsored Hope Schools coaches at the following Sun Prairie schools: C.H. Bird Elementary School and Westside Elementary School. “Success is not only a victory for school and teacher Ms. Kaster, but also serves as a strong message to other schools and teachers that it is possible to close the gender gap in computer science,” said Superintendent Cory Hirsbrunner.
