Uw Law Calendar – State law states that any student whose academic requirements conflict with religious practices (which may include travel time) must be given an alternative to meet the academic requirement. There are many valid claims and no practical, fair or legal means of evaluating individual claims.
Note that Ramadan falls from March 22 to April 21 this year. Muslim students observing Ramadan fast from dawn to dusk during the last month of the school year. Please extend as much flexibility as possible to these students.
