September 3, 2023 Most distance learning programs do not require face-to-face meetings. Some distance education programs include intensive on-campus study. For more information about the class schedule, see the syllabus. However, the MSN-FNP curriculum includes scheduled weekends during the FNP quarter.
Regulations Subject To Change
Online program courses are open to students to begin classes on the first Monday of each eight-week semester as part of a quarter and close on the last Sunday of each eight-week semester. Some APPE blocks may be split into two semesters using two separate course codes.
In such cases, students will be awarded full course credits for both course durations. The cost of the APPE short course is the same, but no credit is earned for this course. Where two APPE blocks are of equal length, credit will be awarded to the second block in chronological order.

Students must notify the Dean/Director of their religious commitment at least one (1) week prior to the required class by completing the Request for Religious Commitment form.
It is the student’s responsibility to inform the teacher that they are not being asked. When a student gives advance notice of an excused absence in accordance with this policy (one week’s notice), faculty will be prompted to respond to the request.

and Research, Western Carolina University, Cullough, NC, 28723 (828-227-7398 or [email protected]). Classes are usually scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In general, students attend classes two to four days a week. however, some courses (especially in nursing programs) may require additional study days per week. Nursing clinical rotations can be scheduled any day of the week, including 24 hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
The dental hygiene core curriculum requires students to attend classes, labs, and clinics up to five days per week. Upon completion of the program and in preparation for clinical board review, dental hygiene students are permitted to participate in specific clinical sessions.
