April 2023 Calendar – City of Hope to April 1, 2023: The City of Resurrection and the 1968 Poor People’s Campaign | 10 o’clock in the morning. – 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday Brigan Cultural Center, Las Cruces A traveling poster exhibit about the tent city set up on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 1968, where people came from all over America to demand social justice.

Attaka String Quartet | Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall, University of Texas at El Paso | At 7:30pm El Paso Pro Musica presents the Grammy Award-winning Attacca String Quartet, passionate proponents of contemporary repertoire, known for gliding from 18th century music to the 21st century.

Through Summer 2023 Architectural Honesty: The WPA and Spanish Colonial Furniture | 10 o’clock in the morning. – 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday Las Cruces drawings from the collection of the University Museum at Bregen Cultural Center, New Mexico State University, the exhibit features a wide range of furniture pieces that were made during the community’s vocational training program in the 1930s.
April 1 – 2 Southwest Chocolate and Coffee Festival | Manuel Lujan Jr. Exhibition Complex, Albuquerque | 10 o’clock in the morning. – 5pm Explore and shop from more than 140 chocolatiers, coffee roasters, bakers, confectioners, gourmet food purveyors, coffee and food trucks, and New Mexico’s best breweries, wineries and distilleries.
Until May 20, 2023 Ad Infinitum: Artists Against War and Imperialism | 10 o’clock in the morning. 4 pm Tuesday to Saturday NMSU Art Museum, Las Cruces A collection of wartime posters and artwork from the NMSU Permanent Art Collection, which highlights 20th century imperialism and its effects, such as militarism, the nuclear arms race, and more.
