2) How is Jesus working now to bring life and light to these dark places? 3) How can we as a church participate in what Jesus is doing to bring light and life to these dark places?
The leaders should divide the community into groups of eight to twelve people (5 to 7 for small groups). Post each question and give the group 5-7 minutes (or more) to discuss each question: (1) What death, grief, loss, or suffering is there in our neighborhood or community?
2) How is Jesus working now to bring life and light to these dark places? 3) How can we as a church participate in what Jesus is doing to bring light and life to these dark places?
It’s A Celebration Of Different Religious Traditions
When the appointed time is up, bring the congregation back together. Invite each facilitator to share what their group has gathered. This happened in the time of Jesus, when it was the Holy Sabbath. Today, people follow a similar tradition during the Easter Vigil.
One thing that unites people across the barriers of time is their belief in hope and a better tomorrow during these rituals.
