(Galveston, Texas) finally heard the good news. since then Most Americans celebrate June 16th. Texas was the first state to make it a public holiday, and many other states follow suit. President Joe Biden declared June 19 a public holiday in 2021, and the Anchorage Assembly declared it a city-only holiday.
