From £510 per person, accommodation in Slovenia may only have 30 miles of coastline, but Campari Adria has 6 pitches on the beach and plenty more, and I’m making the most of it. There are a total of 430 fields spread over 17 acres, some hidden behind pine and cedar trees.
There is an Olympic-sized oceanfront saltwater pool, an aquatics center, a sports complex with beach volleyball, a gym and a spa. Restaurants and bars include sea-view pavilions and beach cafes. The campsite is part of the Adria Ankaran resort, which includes a former Benedictine monastery hotel.
The resort is 10 minutes from the medieval port town of Koper, halfway between Trieste, Italy and Piran, Slovenia. Med-Inn is an all-inclusive, family-friendly beach hotel on Gulluk Bay, 25 miles from Bodrum (500 miles from the earthquake in eastern Turkey).
It has a private beach, sundeck, pool and garden. All 26 rooms are suites with ocean views and balconies (family rooms have double beds in living room). There are seafood specialties and an upstairs dining room.
