Founders Day 2023 – On March 6, 1957, Ghana gained independence from British rule. As it was one of the first British African colonies to gain independence from majority rule, reporters from around the world showed up to document the event, along with emissaries from the United States, the Soviet Union, and other countries.

Nkrumah would remain the leader of Ghana from 1957 to 1966. Kwame Nkrumah was born on 21 September 1909 in Nkrofula, Gold Coast. He was born into a traditional family of modest means, and his early education was provided by Catholic missionaries.

He trained as a teacher and spent several years teaching primary schools in towns on the coast. Teaching enabled him to earn a decent living and he became a popular teacher among many of his students.

The History Of Founder’s Day

Then he discovered politics and decided to go to university in the US to get further education. He arrived in New York in 1935 and took refuge with other West Africans in Harlem. While in the US, Nkrumah saw an alternative to the British style of governance.

He also learned a lot about race relations. He then spent time in London organizing Pan-African Congresses before returning to the Gold Coast in 1949. Until 2012, Founder’s Day was a holiday celebrated only by presidential decree.

Every year the president announced this holiday. That would change on September 21, 2012, when President John John Dramani Mahama warned Ghana’s Home Affairs Minister to draft an amendment bill that would make the day an official day off for Parliament.

This bill authorized the establishment of Founder’s Day in September 2013, and it has been celebrated on that day every year since. When John Dramani Mahama announced the bill on 21 September 2012, it was Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s 103rd birthday and the birthday celebrations were taking place at Kwame Nkrumah’s mausoleum.

Founder’s Day Controversy

We have taken it upon ourselves not only to argue that humanity was not created or shaped for a purpose by a great Creator, but that we are trying to redefine the essence of our humanity.

According to McKinsey & Company, the pandemic has contributed to an increase in gender inequality in the workforce, and on the startup front the funding gap has widened, with startups founded by women raising only 1.9% of all venture capital in 2022, a significant decrease from 2022.

According to PitchBook, 2.4% of teams are women in 2021. A Boston Consulting Group study shows that increasing the availability and use of business networks, especially for women entrepreneurs, could contribute up to $5 trillion to the global economy.

It’s never been more important to give female founders the tools to drive their success and the success of the economy as a whole, and The Female Founder Collective does this every day through The 10th House, its private members’ community, The NORTH, its consulting service, the marketplace, and Day

founders, their annual Women’s History Month community event. The Founders Day Awards recognize deserving faculty, staff, students, alumni and supporters of the University for their dedication, advocacy, service and support to “Our Glorious UDC”. The event is open to students, faculty, staff and members of the community at large.

This day is celebrated annually on September 21 since 2013. Over the years, this holiday has undergone some changes. Its name was changed from Founder’s Day to Founders’ Day to make it plural so that it not only celebrated the birthday of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah but also included the celebration of the other Big Six responsible for making Ghana an independent nation.

In March 2019, a bill was passed to amend the public holidays, which changed the date of their celebration from September 21 to August 4. However, the Convention People’s Party (CPP) says it still celebrates September 21 as Founder’s Day, despite the government’s attempt to rename the holiday.

In 1821, the British government established the British colony of the Gold Coast after taking over the interests of several European countries in the area. The British fought several wars against the Ashanti people in the area, and at the end of the last Ashanti war, the land belonging to the Ashanti people became a British protectorate in January 1902. As the number of women expressing their views increased and demanded, developers

also listen and catch up. In 2020-2022, the number of new game releases with female leads increased by 18%, compared to an average of 5% in recent years. As they say, “Visibility Makes Change,” gaming companies recognize that women are accelerating the growth of the entire industry and are adapting to make room for women.

With women catching up and entering the industry as developers, entrepreneurs, casual and serious gamers, the gap is closing fast, especially in recent years. Thus, challenges and acceptance were greatly improved. However, there is still a segment of people who search for the name of a colleague/male colleague when they want to discuss things and learn more about zero latency.

Every year March 8 is celebrated as International Women’s Day. While it doesn’t take just one day to celebrate women and the many obstacles they face on a daily basis, including sexism, it’s definitely a good opportunity to shine a light on those who are not only working hard, but also paving the way in their lives.

In March 2019, the government adopted a bill on the amendment to the holidays. This changed the official holiday date from September 21 to August 4. September 21 will be known as Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day.

However, this does not prevent some people from celebrating Founder’s Day on September 21, as we will explain in the next section of this holiday. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) claims that Akufa-Addo is trying to nominate his uncle, J.

B. Danqua. J. B. Danquah was the leader of the United Gold Coast Convention or UGCC. It was the political party from which Kwame Nkrumah originally split to form the Convention People’s Party. It was from the CPP that Kwame became the Head of Government and Prime Minister of Ghana and eventually became the President of Ghana.

This is a vital question that will be addressed at the 2023 National Founders Conference from God’s Word. When the truth is under attack in our culture, God’s people must not back down. The Scriptures are clear, and we should not hesitate to stand firmly for its message.

The church must solve this problem, because if not us, then who will? Mid-day Online caught up with five women CEOs and company founders to understand the challenges and how they constantly try to overcome them, as well as their perspective on entrepreneurship when society and trolls keep trying to put them in different boxes.

On his return to the Gold Coast, he found that Indian independence had allowed a gradual transfer of power in other British colonies. In many of these colonies the principle of self-government was beginning to take hold, and he felt that it could also be applied to the Gold Coast.

At the same time, he grew dissatisfied with the existing nationalist group. He found that he was too interested in colonial interests and that he was too conservative. Together with a few other people, he decided to found a new party.

This party was known as the Convention People’s Party or CPP. In just 2 years, the KNP won several local government elections and Nkrumah became the de facto Prime Minister. Founder’s Day is celebrated in different ways across Ghana.

Some people have barbecues with friends and family. Other people visit the grave of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah or other founding fathers of Ghana. As this is a public holiday, some government offices, post offices, banks and other businesses may be closed or have altered hours on this day.

Nkrumah did not learn of this coup until he arrived in China.
