Isu Academic Calender – Students gain access to enrollment based on the number of credits completed and enrollment status. Students enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine, graduate students, and seniors have access to register first, followed by juniors, sophomores, and freshmen.

You have midterm dates, registration dates, holidays and breaks, drop/add dates. It also has other deadlines: bill payment deadline, last day to register without late fees, last day to return textbooks, last day to audit courses, last day to change courses for pass/fail.

The class schedule can be found at http://classes.iastate.edu/. Classes for each term can be searched by department or by performing an advanced search including course number, meeting date, etc. etc. Midterm is an academic warning (indicating a C- or lower grade and/or a class not attended) that is issued to students at the end of the eighth week.

Schedule Of Classes

Instructors are not required to submit midterm grades, and they are not recorded on the student’s transcript. They are not released during the summer semester. Each student’s registration date and start time is displayed in AccessPlus under current student information.

Registration begins about nine weeks into the semester and freshmen enroll about a month later. Registration for summer classes takes place at the same time as registration for the upcoming fall semester. The class schedule planner (classes.iastate.edu/planner) is useful for finding combinations of classes that will meet on the schedule.

Students can add classes they are interested in the system to generate a schedule, can check open seats in the class, and can track credits.
