With 98 college partners and a network of nearly 15,000 KIPP students at colleges across the country, KIPPsters are connected on campus. Alumni stay connected through in-person events and social networking sites. As big events approach, they support each other.

KIPP Texas knows that students miss school all the time. However, we ask that parents and students make an effort to come to school every day. If your student misses school, parents/guardians should call the school before the start of the day to let them know your student is absent.
Section
Parents/guardians who do not notify the school will be contacted by KIPP staff. KIPP has standards and procedures for evaluating and enrolling students in the Section 504 program. KIPP also uses safeguards that include notices, an opportunity for the parent or guardian to review relevant records, an independent hearing with an opportunity for the parent or guardian to participate, and
representation and counseling and evaluation process. The Texas Transition and Employment Guide provides post-secondary transition tools for youth, youth, parents, and professionals to support a youth’s transition from high school to post-secondary goals in education, employment, and community life.

They are always just an email or phone call away to help you look into college programs, provide advice on college courses and careers, or just be a listening ear.
KIPP Texas is deeply involved. Daily school attendance is the foundation of student success and academic achievement. If students are not in school, they miss lessons and may have less education. When absenteeism becomes a problem or problem, students can fall behind and experience academic difficulties and problems outside of the classroom.

KIPP schools are tuition-free, public charter schools open to all students. The key to our students’ success is good communication. Strong relationships between families, students and teachers are part of our DNA at KIPP. That is why teachers communicate frequently and in many ways, whether they are sending good messages to parents about the development of their child’s behavior or helping students with homework when asked.

Please note that KIPP bells in Texas Monday-Thursday will be extended by ten minutes in all sessions. This gives us three days of rest and refreshment for the 2022-23 school year, which are Monday, October 24, 2022, Friday, February 17, 2023, and Monday, April 10, 2023. KIPP high school students explore interests and develop interests.

In addition to core classes, our extensive electives and extracurricular activities provide KIPPsters with a well-rounded and fun high school experience. General Education Homebound (GEH) services provide education to eligible students at home or in the hospital.
Students enrolled through GEH have an illness or chronic illness that prevents them from attending school for four weeks, according to a statement from a licensed physician in the United States. As certified by a licensed physician, GEH scholarships may be awarded to students with chronic illnesses that are expected to last at least four weeks during the school year.
Our Structure
We want our students to love learning and love coming to school. Happiness is contagious and that’s why we put it into everything we do! Teachers pay attention to the smallest details, from the classroom to the curriculum, to ensure that students are happy and engaged.
Transfers during the year are only carried out where seats are available and at the beginning of the academic year between September and February, taking into account the following. I consider my college decision to be one of the best I have ever made, and it is important to acknowledge KIPP’s influence in ensuring that I am where I am in my education.
Each KIPP regional organization is a non-profit organization that oversees its local KIPP schools and provides shared services to
the schools such as alumni support, teacher training, leadership development, public relations, operations, and data analysis. KIPP district organizations are led by a board of directors, led by a superintendent or superintendent, and often partner with neighborhood schools and community organizations.
KIPP Texas is committed to providing ongoing support so that all students with varying levels of disabilities can attend our schools. We analyze, reflect and engage with the most common tasks in the most restrictive environment.

Communication Between Staff Students And Families
Partnering with our families strengthens our program by building and maintaining strong relationships and relationships. KIPP Texas students are expected to attend school each day unless they contact their school principal in advance to obtain permission or to be absent.
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to monitor the student’s progress and ensure that the student is in school every day as much as possible. KIPPsters take advantage of creative opportunities and develop independence through college and college preparation.
From student-led discussions, document analysis, research and visits to local colleges, KIPP students grow by stepping out of their comfort zones and succeeding in new situations. Special education teachers and specialists work together with general education teachers to ensure that special education students thrive in an equitable learning environment.
Both the special education and the teachers integrate the curriculum, add methods and opportunities to learn special education. Students work with their KIPP Futures Advisor as they plan and choose the right college and career for their needs and interests.
