Available Tuesday through Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm. In addition to all devices under the law, cell phones will be accepted for recycling in electronics.
Small electrical appliances (eg vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, curling irons, toasters, toaster ovens, mixers, slow cookers, clothes irons, etc.) are not accepted for recycling in this process. The HAZMAT facility recycles many items in addition to colorful light bulbs.

Residents and businesses can bring light bulbs to the Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Facility on Wednesdays between 7 am. and 3 p.m. Employees will ensure proper handling, storage and maintenance of all hazardous materials. The HAZMAT facility is located next to the main tip building at 517 S. 300 W., Huntington, IN 46750. The fluorescent bulb system was upgraded to a new technology in 2016 that makes recycling bulbs safer for workers and the environment.
