A: Telugu calendar is Lunisolar Amanta calendar. Chaitra (March – April) is the first month of the traditional Telugu calendar. The Telugu New Year begins on the day after the new moon (Amavasai) preceding Mesha Samkranti.
Telugu year 2023 is called Rakshasa, so Telugu Panchangam 2023 is called Rakshasa Nama Samvatsara Panchangam or Rakshasa Nama Year Panchangam. Like next year ie., Panchangam 2024 will be known as Anala Nama Samvatsara Panchangam.
