Regardless of the course you choose, you will be taught by a specialized faculty whose most important is your success. For classes that meet throughout the semester, a five-day period designated as “free-time” dates precedes the final exam.

Degrees Change Lives

During this time, no major exams, including finals, will be held, so that students can concentrate on preparing for well-planned final exams. Invalids include: final papers, weekly chapter quizzes, quizzes, projects, and lab-related tests that are not completed during the final exam.

Miscellaneous Session Classes

Visit a pledge center across the state on this day to learn how survivors respond when they share their experiences with you. Now, take the first oath with faith; one’s obligations to respond to survivors with faith and compassion, to support that person on their journey to correction and healing, and to break the silence and stop the cycle of violence in our communities.

You can also take the pledge online during the month at startbibelieving.usu.edu and be sure to use the campaign hashtag #USUbelieves so we can track the number of pledges USU is taking. When possible, it is strongly recommended that due dates for papers, projects, or assignments that are worth the majority of a student’s grade have deadlines that occur one week before non-exam days and two weeks before final exams.

This not only respects the spirit of free test days, but allows faculty the flexibility to grade these assignments before final grades are due. It will be difficult, but it will be worth it. Watch others share what it was like to get a college degree.
