The tuition, financial aid, and enrollment process is based on the classes you take during the semester you are assigned. University credits towards the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Section 51.803 of the Texas Education Code defines the rules governing automatic admission to the University of Texas. Under these rules, universities must use automatic enrollment to fill at least 75% of the available space for Texas residents in the newly admitted class.
The Grade Point Average (GPA) is calculated for all transfer college courses taken by the student, whether passed, failed, or retaken. The Admissions Office will use the university’s standard figures found in the University’s Rules and Regulations when calculating GPAs for transfer performance.

Transfer Application Procedures
Requests made after the deadline will not be considered. Application fee. A $75 non-refundable fee is required for each application for homeschool admission. (Undergraduate tuition for short-term enrollment, enrollment for visiting summer students is $60.) Tuition waivers based on financial need are available.
International applicants (those who are not US citizens or permanent residents) must submit a non-refundable $90 fee. Exceptions are not available for international applicants. Readmission Following Military Service
Disputed Credits: If the college refuses to accept transfer credits earned at another Texas university, the student and the sending institution will be notified in writing that the transfer credits are denied. In the event of any objection to non-transfer of credit, the college will attempt to resolve the matter between the student and the sending institution in accordance with applicable Texas Higher Education Regulatory Commission rules and guidelines.
If the dispute is not resolved to the satisfaction of the student or the sending institution within 45 days of the initial notification, the University will inform the Board of Directors of the denial of transfer credit and the reasons for denial.
The Joint Committee will resolve the dispute and notify the parties of the outcome. Degree holder. Students who have earned a degree from another college or university but are interested in pursuing a master’s degree at UT Austin must apply for graduate transfer in the same manner as undergraduate students.

Transfer Application Review Process
Qualified military or veteran applicants interested in admission to UT Austin after military service who are enrolled in college-level coursework from high school should apply for transfer admission. UT Austin waives the transfer service requirement for 24 semester hours for eligible military/veteran applicants.
Such applicants are reviewed together with the applicant transfer pool to determine the priorities for which they will be admitted. Applicants who are not enrolled in a college-level course from high school must apply for new admission.
