UWG eCore courses follow the regular regular semester calendar; Therefore, you cannot start and stop at any time. You are part of the class and your classmates will count on you to actively participate. Your class may include students from all over Georgia, other states, and possibly even other countries.

Your active participation is through the discussion forum within your course. Each UWG eCore online class follows a specific curriculum and schedule. As in on-campus classes, the teacher indicates the material to be studied; Dates for tests and quizzes, personal and group assignments, and other activities you must complete on a given date.

UWG eCore is designed for students who need the flexibility and convenience of online learning. UWG eCore courses are taught online so you never have to meet your instructor face-to-face. However, you will have many opportunities to interact with your teachers and fellow students.

Most classes will meet remotely during fall break (October 8-9) and the first three days of Thanksgiving week (November 23-25). The university will hold the final exam from November 30 to December 5. The fall commencement ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, December 12th.
