Dccc Academic Calendar – A student’s academic work is measured in credits. The number of credits per course is usually equal to the number of hours the student will be in class each week. A three-credit course, for example, typically meets three classroom hours per week for one semester.
Students must earn certain credits to graduate. In each fall and spring semester, F-1 international students are required to complete 12 credits. In most cases, students are not allowed to drop a course if it means they will complete less than 12 credits.
