Since this is a mandatory MBA program, students can complete the requirement through internship (or experience) occurring in the MBA program. Internships that begin before the first day of the MBA program or after the last day of graduation do not count toward the requirement.
International students on F-1 visas must apply for work authorization from Duke Visa Services (DVS), regardless of whether the work is paid or unpaid. F-1 students must apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT). Since our program requires students to do at least one professional internship, enrollment in the internship course is a condition for CPT approval during the summer period.
