Courses taught by faculty members of other schools within Harvard University are not covered by the cross-registration agreement that exists between member schools of the Boston Theological Interfaith Consortium. This includes some courses with HDS numbers taught by lecturers located at another school within the University.

Tufts University students wishing to cross-register with HDS should start by selecting “Non-Harvard Account Form” on the my.harvard course search home page and then follow the instructions in the How to Cross-Register with my.harvard section on

Harvard Divinity School accepts students from other schools at Harvard, from MIT, from the Fletcher School in Tufts, and from Boston Theological Interfaith Consortium schools. See the HDS academic calendar for important dates. In particular, please note that cross-registered students must complete their cross-registration by the earliest of the two school dates.

examination, study or work on a particular day, he shall be excused from any such examination or duty which he may have missed due to such absence on that day, provided that such study or work does not constitute an unreasonable burden on the School.
The University does not charge any fees for providing the student with such a facility and does not cause any negative or adverse consequences for any student who uses these provisions. All cross-registered students must abide by Harvard Divinity School rules and regulations as outlined in the HDS Student Handbook.

You can also see all courses available to BTI Consortium students by using the advanced search feature in the my.harvard course directory (select “Divinity School” as your school and “Available for BTI Cross-Registration” from the Cross-Registration dropdown).
HDS students are encouraged to take advantage of the rich offerings of the university, MIT, Fletcher School at Tufts, and the Boston Theological Interfaith Consortium. HDS students can take up to half of their courses in any semester at these schools.
