24 ago **Students who do not have an acceptable differential diagnosis for the treatment provided are treated as students with COVID-19 and must adhere to those guidelines for return to school. The Warren County School TN Calendar is divided into monthly pages that include the date, time, event title, location, and whether it’s the morning or afternoon session.
Each month has separate calendar pages for SD (grades K-6) and SMA (grades 7-12). Calendars can be printed as individual papers or can be found online via the district’s website. Grade 8 Bear students will be dismissed from the cafeteria at 7:35 a.m. to go to their group hallway in the Associated Arts building.
Welcome To Warren County Middle School
Students will exit the main building from the front office lobby and continue outside and down the driveway to the R.A. structure. There wouldn’t be any other students in the Bears hallway, or in their path, this time.
Discovery students will be dismissed from the cafeteria at 7:37 am. to report to their team hallway. They would be climbing the stairs at the main intersection into their group’s hallway and there wouldn’t be any other students in the Inventor’s hallway this time.
Aisle Walk Procedure: It is school policy that students walk on the right side of the aisle. This coming school year, we will be marking each aisle with floor tape to aid student movement. We want to eliminate students from crossing the halfway line on their way and meeting in the middle of the aisle between class changes.
Students will only be allowed to cross the center line if they change direction. We will emphasize social distancing as much as possible with our students. Students may not use student lockers between class periods and must walk directly to the next class or location.

If it is difficult to determine which student may have had close contact with a student with symptoms of COVID-19 or a student diagnosed with COVID-19, every effort will be made to notify the entire class family.
Entire classes or groups of students may be isolated based on guidelines provided by the school district. Visitor procedures: Visitors are welcome to our school and are encouraged to do so as needed and/or as requested during the school day.

Welcome To Hickory Creek Elementary School
We will limit the number of guests allowed past our front desk and will limit the number of guests in the lobby to 6 people at a time. Every guest who enters the front door must wear a mask and every guest who is allowed to pass through the front desk will have their temperature taken.
A guest with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be allowed to report to reception and will be asked to leave the building immediately. Communication with school staff can be made via computer or telephone until visitors can return and enter the building.
Warren County Schools in Tennessee provide quality education to their students. This sub-district consists of 6 schools, 2 SMA and 4 SD. SMA has a total of 3,000 students and elementary school has 2,500 enrolled students.

Teachers, students and the WCMS community, With the start of school fast approaching, we wanted to provide you with many of our school reopening plans and guidelines that will answer many of your questions and make everyone feel more at ease as we prepare to begin the 2020-21 school year
. Use of the Disinfectant Dispenser: Students will be given time at the end of each class to use the classroom disinfectant to disinfect their hands. Students will also be encouraged to use the disinfectants available throughout the building during the day.
What happens if a student comes into close contact with someone who has COVID-19? Any student who has been in close contact (within 6 feet for more than 10 minutes) with a person suspected of having COVID-19 must quarantine for 14 days from their last exposure to that person.
Students can return to school if the following conditions are met: The student has been quarantined for 14 days and remains invisible. 7 Period Rotation Schedule: Our regular bell schedule is a 6 period day that rotates the first period start date each day.
We always have students assigned to 7 classes but they only meet in 6 classes a day. This year, due to the many changes caused by the coronavirus, we returned to the 7-hour bell schedule so that teachers can meet all their students every day.
We will create a rotating bell schedule so students can continue to start a different class each day. Morning Bus Rooms: In previous years we only had 2 morning bus rooms; 1 in the canteen for 8th graders and one in the gym for 6th and 7th graders. In order to distribute our students adequately when they arrive at school between 07.00-07.35, we will move to add a third bus space in the morning.
The location is as follows: Dining Room – Grade 8 students will report directly to the dining room and will occupy all other seats at every available table. Each of these chairs will be marked with an “X” indicating that the X indicates the place you should sit.
Discovery students will be given a table on the east side of the restaurant and Bear students will be given a table on the west side. All students will remain seated in the bus compartment until dismissed by a WCMS staff member.

Morning Arrival at WCMS: Students are assigned a drop-off location based on their grade level. If students arrive at the college, they must report directly to their bus lounge if they arrive before 7:37am. If they arrive after 7:37 a.m., they will report directly to their home classroom.
Below is a brief description of where students will enter our building: WCMS staff will be available to assist parents/guardians with new student registration on the following days and times: August 3-7, Mon-Fri (8-3p) applies to students who did not attend WCMS at the end of the previous school year or did not attend one of the teaching elementary schools (Bobby Ray Memorial Elementary, Hickory Creek Elementary, West Elementary).
Gym – 7th graders will continue to report to the gym with one small change. The Pathfinders will continue to be in the upper gym but the Rockets will remain in the lower gym. Each place to stay will be marked with an “X” indicating that X indicates a place to stay.

Our school offers 21st Century programs, basketball, cheerleading, archery, 4_H, D.A.RE.E and Green Team along with our regular school activities.

Thank you for your support! GO EAGLE!!! Disinfecting Infected Classrooms: Whenever we have a known case of COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19 in a classroom, or any area of the building, we will have part of our protocol to disinfect the area with a disinfectant mist.
This machine is used to disinfect entire rooms and will reach places that a person cannot reach for cleaning. Our school bought several liters of disinfectant that the hospital uses to kill the COVID-19 virus. Our nurse’s office will be disinfected daily with this machine.
Class 8 Class 8 car drivers must be dropped off in the Class 7/8 car park and enter the cafeteria through a side entrance. The Discovery students would sit on the east side of the cafeteria and the Bear students would sit on the west si

Class 8 bus passengers will enter the cafeteria through a side door and sit on the east (Discoverer) or west (Bear) side of the cafeteria. Grade 8 students using special transportation will be directed to enter the school through the Navigator’s double doors and turn right in the hall towards the canteen and sit on the east side (Discoverer) or west side (Bear) or report.

Bathroom and Hall Cleaning Procedures: Our custodial staff will thoroughly clean all student bathrooms at least 2 times a day; once in the morning and after lunch time. Our caregivers will also look at clean toilet handles, urinal handles, table handles and locks, and sink sections during each class period.
Additionally, during the school day, our custodians will clean and disinfect high traffic and high impact areas of the school such as exterior doorknobs/push bars, stair railings, water machines/servers and student locker handles. Care will also be taken to keep the nurses’ office disinfected throughout the school day.
ATTENDANCE POLICY: IMPORTANT: The student MUST bring a letter to the school explaining the reason for the absence within three (3) days of the student’s return to school. Notes after three (3) days will not be accepted.

Morning “Grab & Go” Breakfast: Students will continue to have the opportunity to receive a “grab & go” breakfast as they exit the bus room and make their way down the group aisle.
There will be a morning Stall station located in each team’s hallway (Navigator and Prospector will use the same kiosk at different times). Hot and cold breakfast will be provided. Students would soon bring their breakfasts to their home classrooms to eat.
Students may bring their own breakfast to school to eat, but may not eat it in the gym or hall. All rubbish and empty containers must be disposed of properly. Class 7 p.m. Stopover: All walkers will report directly to the Prospector door for Manager Pennington at 2:45 p.m.
Express bus passengers will report directly to the bus ramp and load their bus at 2:45 p.m. All riders will report to the Class 7/8 parking lot at 2:50 PM. Students will stand in their class/team assignment area which will be marked with white field paint.
Late bus The bus driver will report directly to the gym and sit in the locker room at 2:50 bell. have enough space to distribute lunch to our students without students eating lunch in class. At WCMS, we have 3 periods or lunch sessions;
early (7th grade), middle (8th grade) and late (6th grade). During the first 2 ½ weeks of school we will only have half of our students in school on any given day. Our seating capacity is around 425 so we feel we can keep our students away from the community and all the students having lunch in the cafeteria.
There will be no more than 150 students in the cafeteria at any one time during the first 2 ½ weeks.
