Watonwan County Court Calendar – Watonwan County’s 4-H year runs from October 1 through September 30 of the following year. Every October is a new year for registration. Every 4-H family receives the Watonwan County 4-H newsletter with important information such as meeting dates, upcoming activities and opportunities for members and volunteers.
4-H Youth Development is an experiential education program for Minnesota youth. We offer online, small group, and independent learning experiences for youth of all ages. In 4-H, youth choose a topic they find interesting and caring adults support their learning and guidance.

From agriculture to space exploration and creative arts to outdoor adventures, 4-H has the perfect educational experience for young adults. Extension’s Center for Community Vitality engages Minnesotans to strengthen the social, civic, economic and technological capacity of their communities.

We help build vibrant communities and improve skills and knowledge in economics, leadership and civic engagement, and tourism. Programs are offered in community settings such as food pantries, schools, community centers and public housing. Programs are free to all individuals and families who meet income guidelines and may be offered in multiple languages depending on audience needs and availability of educators.
Watonwan County has many different clubs as well as project clubs. Project clubs are created to help young people learn and focus on a specific project. For example, we have horses, engineering design, dairy, poultry, swine and shooting sports where members are members.
You can join a community club and be a part of Cloverbuds, Tweens, Youth Leaders and any project clubs too! When you join more than one club, you will have more fun. Another fun feature with 4-H is all the summer activities we offer like camping, arts, science, food and more!

There are mentors who teach you and help you learn. You can join a 4-H club up to 12th grade where you can do all kinds of fun and educational activities. Another feature 4-H offers is the opportunity to showcase your talents at the county fair and state fair (if applicable).
