There are nine temples dedicated to Sri Narasimha in Lower and Upper Ahupilam, which are named “Nava Narasimha Kshetra”. The temple is called Ahabilam Narasimha Swamy Temple. Tamil Panchangam is used in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and all over the world.

All these temples are located at different distances on the hills and within a radius of five kilometers from Lower Ahupilam. They can be reached on foot. It used to be very high because there was no proper trail.

According to legends, when they put green grass in the cave, it caught fire and gave off smoke. A few big feathers lived there for a while. After some time, they knew that during the time of Kalinin, great places would become popular, they went to the northern lands and covered the cave of Narasimha with stones.
