He received his BA in Communication Design in 2016 and his M.S. He created the first graduate mentorship program of its kind on campus, Otter Design Mentors, which connects alumni with design students to help them take their first design course at their first job after graduation.
Her hobbies are raising kittens, baking and spending time with her family. Note: In MGMT 385 and ECON 385, students will receive credit for taking one of these two courses. If one course is used toward the requirements for the Business Administration minor, the second course cannot be taken because it does not count toward the requirements for the Business Administration minor or for other majors, concentrations, or minors offered by the College of Business and Economics.
Biography: Jeff has been at CSUMB since 2002 as an instructor of instructional technology and computer science and associate director. He received his Master of Science degree in 2005 in Information Technology Management. Through these classes, Jeff gained insight into the integration of technology into teaching and learning.

Now, as Associate Director of the Center for Academic Technology, he is honored to lead strategies to improve faculty and student success. At home, he enjoys racing vintage cars, building drones, and hiking in the Sierra mountains.
The Business Administration minor gives students the freedom to study in various areas of business and management. Emphasis is placed on acquiring knowledge and skills in accounting, economics, finance, marketing, human resources, information technology, and operations management.
A minor program is designed to complement your major area of study. Bio: Luz Española joined the Academic Technology Center in 2019 as an Instructional Designer and most recently served as an Accessibility Specialist. She has worked at CSUMB since 2013.
Luz helped transition the campus from iLearn to Canvas, supported faculty in moving their learning online, implemented technology to improve student affairs administration, create digital processes, and facilitate student and staff learning. Educated locally, she holds a Master of Science in Educational Sciences and Technology from CSU, Monterey Bay and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Legal Studies) from CSU, Chico.

When she’s not working, Luz enjoys watching do-it-yourself sci-fi movies, following her dog, and finding stories that inspire humanity. Bio: Chris has been a faculty member at CSUMB in the Master’s Program in Learning Sciences and Technology since 2012 and a full-time Instructional Designer since 2013.
He worked as an editor and head of technological projects in He was previously CTB/McGraw-Hill, National Geographic School. Publishing and Cengage. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UCSC and a Master of Science degree from CSU Monterey Bay.
His hobbies include music, juggling and sleeping.
