Class Schedule Information
Nursing shifts can be scheduled every day of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays, 24 hours a day. The basic dental hygiene curriculum requires students to attend classes, labs, and clinics five days a week. After completing the program and preparing for the clinical board exams, dental hygiene students will be allowed to attend special clinical sessions.
Some APPE blocks can be split between two sessions using two different class codes. In these instances, students will be awarded full course credit for both course periods. A short APPE course will have the same course, however, no credit will be earned for this course.
If two APPE blocks are equal in length, credit will be given to the second block, depending on the date. June 12, Wednesday, June 19, 2024 Independence Day, Thursday – Friday, July 4-5, 2024 Holidays, Monday – Sunday, August 19 – September 1, 2024 Classes are usually from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

However, the MSN-FNP curriculum includes weekly programs scheduled during the FNP trimesters. Online program classes are open to students who begin classes on the first Monday of each eight-week semester and close on the last Sunday of each eight-week semester.

Students must notify their program dean/director by completing the Religious Observance Absence Request Form at least one (1) week prior to the absence of their religious obligations.
It is the student’s responsibility to inform the instructor of their request. The teacher is asked to respond to a request when the student informs them in ADVANCE, according to this policy (one week before the announcement) of their absence.
Adequate time should be given to the student to complete the periodical work according to religious belief. The student is responsible for working or losing the student’s time due to religious restrictions.
