Disd Calendar 22-23 – With a vision to empower students and leaders to make a positive impact on the world, NISD is committed to providing an education that prepares all students for a future in college, the workplace, or the military.

The most important dates of the school year are determined by the Board of Directors and then submitted annually to the board for review and approval. Comments and suggestions regarding the school timetable can be sent to Teaching and Learning Development.

Event leaders will notify students and families of rescheduled activities. The Northwest ISD Career Fair, held today at Byron Nelson High School, is included in the postponement of these events, and attendees will be notified of the new date in the coming days.

This after-school service is still available to families of students attending AlphaBEST, but we strongly encourage you to pick up your student as soon as possible. We encourage learner drivers and their families to drive carefully, but don’t expect any changes to our dismissal procedures.

We ask for your understanding that in case of rain, the university notice time may be slower than usual. If inclement weather occurs during dismissal, students are housed in the school building until the weather clears.

For the 2022-2023 school year, school begins on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 and ends on Friday, May 26, 2023. In the 2023-2024 academic year, school starts on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 and ends on Friday. , May 23, 2024 Northwest ISD is closely monitoring local weather for possible hail or other adverse conditions.

All after school programs scheduled for today, March 2nd, will be canceled or rescheduled due to possible inclement weather that may cause hazardous driving conditions. Both calendars include significant breaks such as Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring that are consistent with NISD’s traditional length and style.

This includes several additional breaks for students the week immediately following winter break and the week immediately following spring break to help prepare teachers. NISD reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that people with disabilities have equal access to online information and features.

Based on previous feedback, both calendars emulate the 2021-2022 calendar, with holiday dates matching the current calendar and changing as the dates fall as the year changes.

The trustees decided to approve the schedule for the next two academic years based on early feedback from families that the two-year approval process provided advance notice for planning school leave and work commitments.
