Our school offers a comprehensive curriculum with opportunities for students to take advanced placement and college-level courses at the University of Minnesota.
Students can also explore biomedical sciences and engineering as part of Project Lead the Way courses. The School Board is expected to approve the calendar for the 2023-24 school year at tonight’s School Board meeting. Please note that the calendar is still subject to change even after it has been approved by the School Board.

Any changes will likely be minor. ISD 728 identified the phased release system, also known as modified release, as a new option for use when winter sets in after students are on campus and conditions require additional (or, longer) travel time.

Isd And Partners Identify Staggered Release As New Tool To Combat Weather Challenges
School Bus Driver Appreciation Week begins next week, February 20-24. The week is designed to recognize the work our bus drivers and helpers do every day to ensure students get to school safely and on time, as well as to transport students to extracurricular activities.
Park High School teacher Mark Anderson has been selected as a semifinalist for the 2023 Minnesota Teacher of the Year Award. Mr. Anderson is now among 33 semifinalists for the state award. The winner will be announced at Education Minnesota’s annual banquet on May 7 in St. Louis.

Paul RiverCenter. SoWashCo Schools hosted a Black History Month celebration at East Ridge High School. The event was sponsored by the Black Student Unions at East Ridge, Park and Woodbury high schools. The theme of this year’s celebration was black influence.
The student-run event included food, games, student performances and a fashion show. 11th grade students will take the ACT (American College Testing) on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. ACT scores provide information about students’ academic readiness for college and are used for college and scholarship applications.
