During the 2021-2022 school year, North Clackamas Schools – with input from staff, teachers and community stakeholders – developed a comprehensive district strategic plan for 2022-2027.
This student-centered, equity-based guidance document provides district-wide direction and strategy for staff and students as we navigate the ever-changing education landscape. This week marks the middle of February, which means we are in the middle of celebrating Black History Month at our school.

Before the snow fell in our area last week, our school district had a field trip record! Over 1,400 NCSD high school seniors boarded the buses to the Portland Convention Center for the Northwest Youth Career Expo, and this episode follows them from start to finish!
As you can hear, this is definitely the day of “Ferris Bueller’s Off!” It wasn’t like that. Milwaukee, Rex Putnam, Clackamas, Adrian C. Nelson, Clackamas Web Academy, Clackamas Middle College and Online Education Program students spent hours learning about potential jobs, building their work experience and participating in mock interviews.
Norwich City School District is located in Chenango County, 40 miles north of Binghamton and 45 miles south of Utica. The district covers a geographic area of approximately 110 square miles and includes all or most of ten townships, all in Chenango County.

Did you know that NCSD has an occupational therapy center at Milwaukee, Rex Putnam, Clackamas and Adrian C. Nelson high schools? They are called school-based health centers, and did you know that they are not for high school students and families and can be accessed regardless of insurance?

January is Oregon School Board Recognition Month, and in this episode, we’re taking the initiative to honor seven heroes who have volunteered on the NCSD Board. Through detailed discussions with Directors Mitzi Bauer and Jenna Benologa, we ask that we order the topics from the reason why they voted to run the important role of the district … in the unfinished business that they have left on behalf of all the students of North Clackamas and families.
