Ndsu Calendar 2022-23 – NDSU will host Wyoming and Utah Valley in Big 12 play at the Scheels Center on Jan. 21 and 22, respectively. The Bison defeated Wyoming 22-14 last season in Laramie, including a pin by Owen Pentz, who was named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week after the dual.
Wyoming finished 23rd at NCAAs last season with four qualifiers. The Bison did not face Utah Valley last season, but posted a 25-12 victory in February 2021. The Bison are also scheduled to host Binghamton and Buffalo in non-conference action on Nov. 18 and Dec. 11, respectively.

Binghamton had four NCAA qualifiers and finished tied for 36th, while Buffalo had three qualifiers but failed to advance to the NCAA Tournament. The Bison posted convincing wins against both teams last season. The student will not be required to take more than the last three exams scheduled on the same calendar day.
Calendar Year
If a student has four or more final exams on the same calendar day, the student must notify the instructor of the course with the highest number no later than two weeks before the last day of the course to schedule an assignment.

NDSU will try to regain the Border Bell Trophy after losing it last season, with the first game set for 2 p.m. this season at the Scheels Center. The Bison will open the season with a trip to Lincoln, Nebraska on Nov. 4 for a dual against the University of Nebraska.

Dead Week
Nebraska had eight NCAA qualifiers last season and finished fifth. The dual against the Huskers will be the first of six non-conference duals on the schedule, which also includes a visit to the University of Minnesota Fargo on Dec. 9.
The Gophers finished 11th in the NCAA Tournament last season with nine qualifiers. The duel is scheduled for 19:00. Start at the Scheels Center. NDSU operates on a semester system, consisting of standard 16-week fall semesters and two spring semesters, plus a final exam week.
A 12-week summer semester is also offered. Each semester, variable length courses and short sessions are available and cover the same contact hours (classroom) as a standard semester. See definition of academic unit. After Thanksgiving, the Bison will make their first trip to the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational since 2019, with the event scheduled for Dec. 2-3.
The Bison will play again in the new year at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tenn. The Bison finished second last season with Jared Franek claiming the 157-pound title. NDSU will close out the dual season with a pair of Big 12 matchups.
Summer Semester
The Bison will face Oklahoma for the first time since January 2020, when the Bison beat the Sooners 24-15 in Fargo. NDSU and Oklahoma will meet before Super Bowl weekend on Friday, February 10th. The duel is scheduled for 19:00.

NDSU will host Columbia on Dec. 20 before Christmas break. Missouri had nine qualifiers and finished ninth in the NCAA Tournament last season. North Dakota State will host the 51st annual Bison Open on Saturday, November 12th.
Bison will also compete in the Daktroniks Open on Nov. 20 before the Thanksgiving break. Freshman Michael Caliendo captured the 165-pound title last season at the Daktronics Open as an unseeded wrestler. ** SAP = Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP): At the end of each semester, academic performance is evaluated based on credits attempted, GPA, and graduation within the maximum number of credits allowed.

Final exams for all other courses cannot be rescheduled during the last exam period. According to the policy of the State Board of Higher Education, the last examination period is an educational period and, if no examination is given, the teaching use of this period is expected.
Final exams for summer schools and distance and continuing education courses are organized by professors. The Bison will meet the Big 12’s newest member, California Baptist, in mid-January in Riverside, Calif., and face the Lancers on Jan. 14, two days after facing Stanford, in their final non-conference game.

The Bison opened the dual season last year with a 43-3 win over CBU. Only one exam or quiz per course may be given in the last two weeks of the semester (proportional for courses of variable duration), including the last week.
Exceptions are summer school, self-paced/correspondence courses, make-up exams, courses that include a lecture lab, one-credit courses, and quizzes that account for less than 5% of the student’s total grade. If a teacher chooses to give an exam in the last week of classes, they are expected to make some use of the last exam hour for teaching.
NDSU will make trips to Little Rock and Stanford to close non-conference majors on Dec. 18 and Jan. 12, respectively. The Bison beat Little Rock 30-9 in Fargo last season. The Bison will face Stanford for the second time in dual history, with NDSU winning 28-13 in Fargo in February 2020. The Cardinal had five NCAA qualifiers last season and finished 19th.
The 12-week summer semester is designed to deliver courses at multiple times called sessions. Summer courses carry full credit because the courses have the same number of contact hours as regular fall or spring semesters. Students should refer to the Dates and Deadlines page on the One Stop website for session start and end dates and to drop/add deadlines for the summer term.
