Seeing Miss Gina in the library. Children’s book club March 23 16:00 – 17:00 Attention children!! The library is launching a book club just for you. We will meet for the first time on Thursday, March 23rd in the library MakerSpace.

The number of places is limited, so registration is mandatory. Walk into the library and register. There is a limited number of books that we read. This month’s book is Lucky Milk by Neil Gaiman. Our book club meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.

Homeschool Club March 30, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Alexander Hamilton Memorial Library hosts a Parent Homeschool Enrichment Club where students in grades K-12 participate in art activities, STEM challenges and more. Each week has a different theme and teenagers and children sometimes split into groups or stay together depending on the activities.

This is an informal chat group. The Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library invites you to this scheduled Zoom meeting. The link to the meeting is on the library’s website calendar. Personal game nights are a regular program in the library, which alternates on Tuesdays from 17:45 to 18:45. Participants choose which games to play. Have a fun game you want to share? Go ahead and get it!

Want to get some exercise (it doesn’t feel like exercise)? Put on comfortable clothes and shoes and come to the library. This fun program features video and library staff provide entertainment and encouragement. And what’s great is that everyone works at their own pace!

Socrates Cafe Thursday, March 2 and 16 What is Socrates Cafe? It’s a gathering where people exchange thoughts on existential/philosophical topics with maximum respect for the opinions of others. The Socrates Café in the library is just one of hundreds around the world.

Pokemon Club March 11th 2:30pm – 2:45pm Children & Teens 9-18, Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library invites you to join us for Pokemon Club! This club is dedicated to fighting in the Pokemon card game. If you don’t know how to play yet, hosts Chad & Kurt Ewell will teach you everything you need to know!

Feel free to bring your blanket if you have one. We also have blankets here. The Pokemon Club is a regular library program every other Saturday from 1:30-2:45pm in the 2nd floor community room. Teen MakerSpace Days March 21 4:00pm – 5:30pm Pre-teens and teens ages 10-18 join the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library for a new project in the library’s MakerSpace: Macrame Bracelets.

Teen MakerSpace is a regular library program on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays where we explore a variety of STEAM related topics (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). Registration is required – log in to ahmfl.org in the programming calendar.

Hooks and Needles: Basket Making Thursday, March 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Come join us at the library for our hook and needle program. Our program gives you the opportunity to bring what you’re working on and join our group to talk about your current projects and share ideas and inspiration.

It’s a great place to share ideas or learn new sewing skills. We will also explore the new shopping cart and launch it in this program. Pick up a list of supplies for this project from the distribution table and plan to join us.

This is a regular Friday library video series where Teen Services librarian Miss Gina shares a variety of fun reading material for teens, including short stories and excerpts from longer books, mostly fiction but with some nonfiction.

Our stories for March are taken from Thomas White’s book “Pennsylvania’s Forgotten Stories.” Plan to join us to see what you can learn about our state!
