Neahwa Park Field
This old building is still the oldest in the city. The park includes a soccer field, baseball field and facilities for the city’s community park program. Community Park locations are located on the west side of Wilcox Ave.

During the summer months, the Oneonta Tennis Club hosts tournaments for both youth and adults. The city’s tennis courts are now permanently attached to the Waddington Tennis Courts #6, #7, & #8 (near the pool) at Wilbur Park.

Youngsters should be introduced to the sport early so they can play competitively by the time they enter high school, Orlowski said. If they start young, they will have the passion for the sport to put in the hours of practice they need.

Near the beautiful Hodjas pool, the Brenner Building has the park’s administrative offices (temporarily closed) and the Lascaris Skateroom.
As well as being a hot spot when skating is offered in the pool, the skateroom is used as a stage for park events throughout the year. In July, Onondaga High School’s varsity tennis coach, who commutes from Cooperstown, began to change that trend, hosting a three-week tennis camp at Wilbur Park.
