I’ve been hoping for the past few years that someone would come out with an advent calendar, and it finally happened! Earlier this year Diamine announced their 2019 Inkvent Calendar and I immediately pre-ordered it from Pen Chalet (they still have stock!) Diamine is one of my favorite ink brands – their ink is well sorted, affordable and comes in a million colors ( well,
208 that I know of color). I had mixed feelings about viewing the calendar because I didn’t want to ruin anyone’s surprise, but I did a poll on Instagram stories and 87% voted to view it, so let’s see!

Day 19, Holiday Cheer is standard ink. The deep, dark purple is very light on paper, while also being a bright option for those who want to deviate from traditional colors. We also saw what we thought was the Shining (green-gold).
It’s not as pronounced as the other requests, but it’s still evident at heavy saturation points. Day 20, Pink Ice is a glitter ink with a dusty mauve pink base ink color and silver metallic glitter.
The combination is beautiful, and the base color is very dark and clear on the page, making it a lighter pink ink to use than most on the market. Day 21, Brandy Snap is a standard orange with shade possibilities.
