Kisd Calendar 2022 – Hal Peterson, art teacher at Amanda Lord High School, is certified by the National Council for Professional Education Standards. The program requires teachers to go through a rigorous process to earn nationally recognized certification. Lord achieved this feat in art from his early youth through his teenage years.

The process consists of four components and typically takes teachers about three years. The Lord completed all four components within a year. The approved calendar includes two days of training in August 2022, as well as an additional five days of training during the academic year.

Labor Day, Columbus Day, Martin Luther King Day and Good Friday are considered holidays, and the county continues to have a full week off for Thanksgiving, two weeks for Christmas and one week for spring break.
