Lego.advent Calendar – Think of the many characters The Mandalorian has to offer in this set that fans will go crazy for: Ahsoka Tano; Cara Dune Moff Gideon Kuill, Bo-Katan, Armor and countless others. Unfortunately, they left out the figs entirely this year, with only 6 in this set.

Even so, two numbers are worth discussing this year. It is licensed but does not come with unique components found only in this kit. However, there are three unique miniatures that can only be found in this set so far.

All of the printed parts of this set are small parts, which is disappointing because most other advent calendars include at least one or part of them. LEGO has chosen to save some costs and replace printed parts with rare miniature printers.

My 7 year old grandson loves it!! The first thing he does in the morning after getting ready for school is to open a space in his advent calendar for the next day. I have seen pictures put together for several days.

He is very fast! I’m so glad I was able to find and purchase this Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar for him. I could tell he really loved it. There are only a few unique little things, as well as new colors and new components.

It’s a shame this set doesn’t include many printed parts, unfortunately. This calendar is a lot of fun and gets our 4/5 star (recommended) rating. The construction is satisfactory and quick, and the printed parts have a lot of fan information.

Top Mini Builds

Top Mini Builds

(It’s not.) The playground features a board game-like path with dedicated spaces for different buildings throughout the month. This set has the size, Contains 18 Mini Builds with different details and themes. 15 Mini Builds correspond to the numbered spaces on the “game board”/play area, with the idea that you are building the framework for your board game throughout the month.

The dolls in this advent calendar span a wide variety of Marvel movies, offering a wide variety of universes, with a few minor twists to get in the holiday spirit. The ones that stand out to me are consistent with the festivals of the perpetual calendars, thus showing their rarity in the long run.

Because this advent calendar has a City theme; There are a lot of vehicles on the move and several small buildings/structures between the small structures. I like cute little cars, but building so many in a row gets a bit repetitive.

There are also two buildings that I’m not sure will be completed at once. Because of this inconsistency, the set gets our 3/5 star (good) rating. We usually only feature two minifigures in each LEGO advent calendar, but the LEGO Friends calendars are always better.

Initial Impressions

In previous years, the entire set includes two or fewer mini-dolls (and none in 2018). Last year it was mixed a bit with two Minidolls and two Microdoll size fairies. As you can see, there are many suggestions from acceptable to recommended.

There was no clear winner between the allowed and non-allowed pairs, but the difference in price expectations was greater for the allowed pairs. From Snowspeeders to Tie-Fighters From Snowspeeders to Tie-Fighters, which Luke encounters when captured by Empire Strikes Back’s vamp snow creature, there are a variety of small ships to build.

It’s a shame not to have a wampa build here – but I’m sure a clever builder could recreate the creature with the parts included here. A return to form after last year’s lackluster Mandalorian-themed set.

After a disappointing set last year; This year’s Lego Harry Potter Advent Calendar might just be the pick of the bunch from this year’s Star Wars lineup. Each of the three days has plenty of figures from every iconic scene from the books and movies, and iconic sets from the franchise are designed with a clever sense of miniatures.
