If parents decide to enroll their child in the program, the student must remain there for the entire school year. Meal assistance will also be provided to students who choose to study remotely, with pre-meal pickup at certain homes.

The deadline to register for grades for the school year is Friday, July 31. If the district moves to a level three emergency, the district plans to switch to a model integration that will allow students to split time between the classroom and grade school.
Raiff said the program for students in this situation will be similar to a kindergarten program where students rotate into a virtual classroom two days a week and three days a week. As part of these standards, social distancing requirements of 6 feet will be applied to students in buildings when possible.
In accordance with State and Federal law, the District will provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities who wish to attend and/or participate in school activities. Such persons should notify the building manager if they require appropriate assistance.
When classes resumed, OLSD prepared four models based on the city’s risks at that time. If Delaware County is deemed a level one or two emergency, as it always is, students will be in class for all five school days each week.
