Ponca City Public Schools Calendar – With winter weather upon us, PCPS officials want to remind students, staff, parents and patrons how they will be notified if school is closed due to inclement weather. PCPS Superintendent Shelley Arott said, “The safety of our students, staff and community is our first priority and we will do everything we can to ensure them.

weather is bad. Students arriving early may report to the Retro Cafeteria using the South Retro door. During inclement weather, this will be the only door open before 7:40. Students will stay in Retro until 7:40, where breakfast will be served at 7:30.

Liberty opens its doors at 7:30 a.m., regardless of the weather. In Pastrmka, the doors open at 7:15 if the weather is below 32 degrees. On other days, the doors open at 7:30am. Lincoln Elementary also opens its doors at 7:30 a.m., as does Wildcat Academy.

Lincoln opens its doors earlier if the temperature drops below 32 degrees. Woodlands Elementary will open its doors at 7:20 a.m. Garfield Elementary opens its doors at 7:20 a.m. Students can sit inside or eat breakfast until it’s time for class.
