But unlike the current calendar, this is a DIY advent calendar, which allows you to fill in whatever you want for each day. Whether it’s a small bottle of gin, chocolate coins, or more Harry Potter merchandise, get what you want every December.
The cardboard calendar itself is large, with a large Hogwarts crest depicting the four houses on the front and a hanging door on the back that you can use when you finish the calendar. Coming to the bottom end, it is great for kids and they will get some use out of the content.

Either way, your sock drawer will be bursting at the seams with 12 new pairs – five full length and seven training socks. Each pair has a different design and features familiar Harry Potter characters, and our favorites are Hedwig’s golden stockings.

This advent calendar has a great look – it’s laid out like a big hardback book and, when you open it up, has lots of little envelope pockets to look inside. There are a total of 25 pockets with treats on Christmas Day, although when you put them all together there are over 40 smaller items.
Why do we like it? Being Lego, it is creative and will keep kids busy as they follow the instructions to build the model. On Christmas Eve they have all the suits for the perfect Hogwarts Yule Ball – magic!

While Primark won’t be bringing their advent calendar to the US, German-based grocer Aldi, known for its excellent calendar line, will. The company revealed its calendar in September, which will include countdown options for cheese, beer, wine, strong seltzer, chocolate, coffee, toys and even dog and cat treats.
