Sowashco Calendar – Park Middle School teacher Mark Anderson was selected as a semifinalist for the 2023 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award. Mr. Anderson is now among 33 semifinalists for the statewide award. The winner will be announced May 7 at Education Minnesota’s annual banquet in St. Louis.

SoWashCo Schools hosted a district-wide celebration of Black History Month at East Ridge High School. The event was sponsored by the Black Student Unions at East Ridge, Park and Woodbury high schools. The theme of this year’s party was Black Impact.

ACT scores provide information about a student’s academic readiness for college and are used for college and scholarship applications.

On flexible learning days, students will learn from home and connect and interact with their teacher and classmates. Students will focus on practicing and reviewing previous lessons with opportunities for individual or small group academic support with their tutors.

We offer a comprehensive curriculum with opportunities for advanced learning through Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) classes.

School Bus Driver Appreciation Week begins next week, February 20-24. The purpose of the week is to recognize the work our bus drivers and bus assistants do every day to make sure students get to school safely and on time, and to inspire students to participate in extracurricular activities.
