Skip to contentUpitt Academic Calendar – March 19, 2020: Due to the week dedicated to the transition to distance education, the academic term, which is usually 15 weeks, is shortened to 14 weeks of student effort. Pursuant to US Department of Education 34 CFR § 668.3, the University has requested a temporary reduction in the length of the academic year.
Pending the Secretary’s approval of this requirement, faculty are encouraged to establish their curriculum for the remainder of the semester to achieve critical student learning outcomes in their courses with (including ) the remaining 5 weeks of the initial academic year with normal student effort.
