The changes will take effect whenever the proper authority so decides and will apply both to prospective students and to those already enrolled. 662.003 of the Texas Government Code, including where those holidays fall in the calendar week.
Holidays that fall on weekends are not included in the annual total. Higher education institutions are given the flexibility to arrange their times. U.T. The system observes the same number of holidays as other state institutions, although the days differ.
Depending on the number of holidays in the fiscal year, swimming holidays may be included in the holiday schedule. If included in the holiday schedule, full-time employees are awarded 8 hours of floating vacation time per award.

Floating Holiday
Part-time workers will receive an amount based on the number of hours worked per week. The floating license must be used within the fiscal year in which it is granted. It will carry over to the next financial year without interruption.
After separation (including transfer of agency status), unused floating leave will be paid. The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) offers 175 degree programs and world-class facilities.
