Burnet Cisd Calendar – RJ Richey Elementary 2 will add two minutes to daily instruction minutes starting Sept. 27 through the end of the year, starting six weeks into the year, Burnet CISD said, allowing the campus to “catch up” to the rest of the district.

Burnett CISD says they have made calendar adjustments to close all district campuses on Sept. 7 and Sept. 8 due to the Sept. 3 closing of RJ Ritchie Elementary and large staff absences. Although the current calendar has enough bank minutes to absorb the closures, the Department of Administration recommended that the calendar be revised so that those instructional minutes are not lost at the beginning of the school year.

Changes are recommended to preserve those banking minutes for future needs in the event of additional COVID-19 closures and/or weather events.
