Concord Public Schools Calendar – The estimated school opening date is Monday, February 24, 2025, after the February vacation, when equipment, furniture, and other items may be removed while the school is not in session. Between substantial completion and the opening of the school, menu items will be discussed.

A punch list is part of a project closeout and refers to a document that shows the contract work that has not been completed according to the project’s specifications. Punch lists are standard practice in the construction industry for projects such as new high school buildings.

The project is currently in Phase 1, the design and construction of a new school building. The project team completes the pre-qualification of the general contractor and subcontractors and prepares a bid package to perform the required work with qualified and eligible locations.

Welcome To Alcott Elementary School

The pre-selection and bidding process is informed by national procurement laws and the professional experience of project team members. The draft calls for the project team to review bids and select a general contractor and construction team in the last week of April 2023.

In Hanover, the Hanover Regional Communications Center released information about law enforcement agencies recording the school shooting. The call, like others reported in the state, was received soon after.

Hanover police responded and reported that there was “no evidence of an active or existing threat”. Phase 2 of the project, Sanborn demolition and new fields, will begin in February 2025. Demolition activities will consist of minimal disruption until the end of the 2025 school year, when Sanborn buildings will be demolished during the summer months.

Substantial completion of the field is scheduled for mid-September 2025, with Phase 2 inventory to be completed in the fall of that year. Contractors will also be demobilized at the end of the fall. The field will take two full seasons to grow and will be ready for use by September 1, 2026.
